Mneva Privacy Policy
Mneva AI ("Mneva", "we", "us") is a personal AI assistant app operated by Swostitech Solutions, India. This policy explains what data the Mneva mobile app and its servers collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to the Mneva app on Android and iOS.
1. Data we collect
Account information
- Name, email address, city and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- Phone number, if you add one (used so family members can find you in Family and Space features).
- Profile and preference settings, such as trust levels, notification preferences and privacy toggles.
Content you give Mneva
- Messages you type in chat and the assistant's replies.
- Voice recordings you make with the microphone. These are sent to be transcribed into text and are deleted from our servers right after transcription; only the text is kept.
- Photos you take with the camera or pick from your gallery for AI analysis.
- Documents you upload (for example PDFs or Word files) so Mneva can read and search them.
- Secure Vault files. These are encrypted on your device before upload with a key only your device holds. We store the encrypted file but cannot read it.
Personal information you enter in Mneva's features
- Tasks, reminders and calendar items.
- Family information: family members you connect, shared family tasks, children's activities, celebrations and gifting plans.
- Health information: health entries and medications you (or you for a parent) add.
- Financial information: loans, EMIs, bills, subscriptions, fixed deposits and investment holdings you enter. Mneva does not collect card numbers or bank passwords.
- Pet care and home maintenance records.
Accounts you choose to connect (Google)
If you connect a Google account, Mneva accesses only the services you approve on Google's consent screen:
- Gmail: read your emails to summarise them and find what needs your attention, and send emails when you ask Mneva to.
- Google Calendar: read and create events.
- Google Contacts: read your contacts and your Google account email.
- Google Drive: see the names, types, last-modified dates and links of your files (including Docs, Sheets and Slides) so Mneva can list them for you. Mneva does not read the contents of your Drive files.
- Google Tasks: read and manage your tasks.
- Google Fit: read activity, heart rate, sleep, nutrition and body measurements.
Access tokens for these accounts are encrypted at rest. You can disconnect any account from Connected Accounts in the app, or from your Google Account's security settings.
Notifications from other apps (Android only, optional)
If you turn on "Analyse phone notifications" and grant Android Notification access, Mneva reads the app name, title and message text of new notifications from messaging, payment, shopping, food delivery and ride apps (for example WhatsApp, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, Amazon, Swiggy, Uber), plus messages, emails, calls, reminders and events from any app. This happens in the background, even when Mneva is closed.
- Numbers that look like OTPs or verification codes (4–8 digits) are removed on your phone before anything is sent. Our server removes them again.
- Mneva's own notifications and ongoing notifications (such as music players) are skipped.
- Notification content is sent to our servers and to OpenAI to decide whether it is important. Important alerts are saved to your account and appear in your Morning Briefing and Priorities.
- You can turn this off at any time in Mneva (Settings → Notifications) or in Android Settings → Notification access. Collection stops as soon as you do.
Device and technical data
- A push notification token, so we can send you reminders and alerts.
- Server logs that record requests to our API, including IP address, time and the endpoint used. We use these for security and debugging.
- Crash and error reports, used to find and fix bugs.
Data that stays on your device
- Fingerprint and Face ID: Mneva uses your phone's built-in biometric check to unlock the app. We never receive or store your biometric data.
- Your Secure Vault encryption key.
Mneva does not collect your device's precise or approximate location.
2. How we use your data
- To provide Mneva's features: answering your questions, briefings, priorities, reminders, family, health, finance and other assistants.
- To take actions you allow, such as sending an email or creating a calendar event. By default Mneva asks before acting. It only acts without asking (for example, sending an email) in areas where you have turned on "Inner Circle" in Settings → Trust, which you can turn off at any time. You can see everything Mneva did in Twin Diary.
- To remember context across conversations (your "AI memory") so answers are more personal.
- To send you notifications and account emails such as verification codes and password resets.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal data, use it for advertising, or use it to train our own AI models.
3. Who we share data with
We share data only with the service providers below, only as needed to run Mneva, and under their data processing terms. We may also disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the United States.
4. Google API Services: Limited Use
Mneva's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features you see in Mneva.
- We transfer it to others only as needed to provide those features (for example to our AI provider to summarise an email you asked about), for security, or to comply with the law.
- We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to train generalised AI or machine-learning models.
- Humans do not read your Google data unless you give us permission, it is needed for security or to comply with the law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
5. How we protect your data
- All connections between the app and our servers use HTTPS encryption.
- Connected account tokens and AI memory content are encrypted at rest.
- Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
- Secure Vault files are end-to-end encrypted with a key only your device holds.
- The app can be locked with your phone's fingerprint or face unlock.
No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a data breach as required by law.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your account, content, connected-account tokens, uploaded files, Vault files and AI memory are deleted from our active systems immediately. Copies in routine backups and logs are removed within 30 days. Data you delete inside the app (such as a task or document) is removed in the same way.
7. Deleting your account and data
In the app: open Mneva → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Without the app: email noreply@swostitechnologies.com from the email address on your Mneva account with the subject "Delete my Mneva account". We will verify the request and delete your account and data within 30 days.
You can also ask us to delete specific data without deleting your account by emailing the same address.
8. Your rights and choices
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and other laws that apply to you, you can:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate data (most of it directly in the app).
- Erase your data (see section 7).
- Withdraw consent for optional features at any time, for example by disconnecting a Google account, turning off phone notification analysis, or revoking camera and microphone permissions in your phone's settings.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
- Raise a grievance with us, and, if unresolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children
Mneva is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children as users. Parents may add information about their children (for example activities) to organise family life; this is controlled by the parent's account. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
